Coriander is equipped with a substantial stainless steel arch at the rear which provides somewhere to support the AB rib and also our wind generator and solar panels.
- 2 x 200w rigid solar panels
- 2 x 130w flexible solar panels on the bimini
- Air Breeze wind generator
- Onan 6kw generator
We find that the combination of wind and solar power keeps up with the day to day power needs of sailing instruments, fridge, freezer and watermaker.
We have a Schenker 60lph watermaker which easily meets our needs running it for a couple of huurs every 3-4 days.
We installed a Zanussi compact washing machine in the forward wardrobe.
Although we have to be on shore power or run the genset, it has proven a worthwhile investment.
